451: Lesson 22: Only The Saved Are In The Lord's Church
According to the Bible, who are the saved? Jesus is quite clear as to who the saved are. Jesus says in Mark l6:16, "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved." A person has to have help to misunderstand what the Lord says here. Here we see the Bible says we must believe and be baptized in order to be saved. This is what Jesus says. But men have tried to change what the Lord has said. Men today say that all you have to do is "to accept Christ as your personal Saviour" and you will be saved. This may sound good and ... The church is not to be overseen by a pope, patriarch, president, cardinals, association, convention, synod or any other organization that man has come up with. Each autonomous congregation of the Lord's church is to be overseen by a group of elders. In Acts 14:23 we read, "So when they had appointed elders in every church." Notice there is to be a plurality of elders in every church or congregation. This is the way the Lord set up His church. But what does the Lord ... ...

... But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear." (Hebrews 8:13) d. You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. " (Galatians 5:4) 2. The whole idea of restoring temple worship, with a restored Aaronic priesthood, complete with ashes of the Red Heifer is to deny Christ as the true Passover lamb. 3. Those who believe in Rapture are in fact "severed from Christ" (Gal 5:4) because they are trying to do what the first century Jews wanted to do: practice Mosaic Judaism beside Christianity. 4. When a Jew converts to Christianity, he stops worshipping God according to Moses and takes all his instructions from Christ. B. Reverting back to Mosaic Judaism: 1. Power, one Godhead. In this they are not wide of the truth, for I do so assert. Their complaint is that their custom does not accept this, and that Scripture does not agree. What is my reply? I do not consider it fair that the custom which obtains among them should be regarded as a law and rule of orthodoxy. If custom is to be taken in proof of what is right, then it is certainly competent for me to put forward on my side the custom which obtains here. If they reject this, we are clearly not bound to follow them. In Luke 24:44-53, we have the record of Jesus Christ meeting with the Apostles after his resurrection from the dead, and we read; "and He said unto them; These are the words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, and in the Prophets and in the Psalms concerning me". Roman Catholics and Orthodox leaders feel that re-writing history to suggest the canon of the Jews was not fixed until after the Jewish system was abolished in 70 AD, is as absurd as it is wishful thinking. Farmer would not "ascribe madness and epileptic fits to possession, rather than other disorders". The Bible does teach demon possession during the apostolic age, but oddly, he Farmer did not believe the devil or demons even existed. Instead he explained the Devil and demons to be caused by physical diseases like epilepsy or flu viruses. Farmer said, "the New Testament doth not countenance the doctrine of real possessions." Demon possession is real in the New Testament and is always accompanied by supernatural powers and knowledge. It was impossible for demon possessed men to be bound with even chains. They also knew things normal humans did not know. People in need of the N1H1 flue vaccine or epileptics never exhibit supernatural power and knowledge. Demon possession was a real thing in the apostolic age, but did not cause insanity. ... Some maintain that Daniel's prophecy was wholly fulfilled in 167 BC. Scholars like Keil & Delitzsch in 1867 AD, William Smith's Bible Dictionary in 1884 AD and the New Advent Catholic encyclopedia, Cades, 1917 AD all focused upon the similarity of modern name.
