401: Ancient synagogues of the Bible: Ephesus Synagogue: 43 BC
This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, being acquainted only with the baptism of John; and he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. And when he wanted to go across to Achaia, the brethren encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace, for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ." (Acts 18:24-28) c. Paul's Second missionary journey: "And he entered the synagogue and continued speaking out boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God. But when some were becoming hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the people, he withdrew from them and took away the ... ...

There were actually a total of four statues of Nebo, but only two were inscribed with poem of praise to Nebo. Calah (Genesis 10:11-12) is one of four major cities founded by Nimrod (Nimrud). 403: Secret Of Personal Contentment at home
... I am sure that such an honest appraisal will cause you to realize at least four things: Without God you are lost! Without God your life is meaningless and useless. You really have a desire to seek God and please him; when you frustrate this desire, your life becomes frustrated like a round peg forced into a square hole. Finally, when you realize that your life is at variance with God, if indeed it is, then you will know why you are so discontented. Indeed, you can stand justified before God and find the secret of contentment, for Paul said: "Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God" (Romans 5:1-2). Jesus says in John 12:48, "The word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day." Are you putting your trust and confidence in what men say or what God has said in the Bible? You will have to make the choice whether you are going to follow God's word or man's word. Also in order to be the church which Jesus built, the church must worship God and Christ according to the way They have specified. We are told in Ephesians 5:17, "Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is." It is very ... In Acts 14:23 we read, "So when they had appointed elders in every church." We have already proven that gifts must cease before the second coming and that faith and hope must abide LONGER than the gifts. ... If Christ is very God, what is his relationship to God the Creator.- the God of Israel? For these reasons it was probably unavoidable that questions about the person of Jesus should arise to which the New Testament gives no direct answer. S. S. Schmucker, trans., p. 301) Wierwille comments: "This indicates clearly that Luther and other men of the Reformation period did not put the trinity into the creed because they believed it to be true, but in order to escape the charge of heresy which was labeled against Arius and Socinius. I'm surprised by the great man's actions, but that is man." (Victor Paul Wierwille, The Way International, " Forgers of the Word," Bibliography--Jesus Christ is not God (New Knoxville, Ohio: American Christian Press, n.d., p. 23.) Our comment: A closer look at Storr's words reveals that Luther did not disagree with the Trinity, but was afraid of the words, or theological terminology such as the Latin word "person" (persona), which might imply tritheism instead of trinity. Luther's hesitation is exactly that of many who signed the Nicene creed. 412: Josh McDowell's Powerful Evidience for Resurrection
A QUESTION OF HISTORY After more than 700 hours of studying this subject, I have come to the conclusion that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is either one of the most wicked, vicious, heartless hoaxes ever foisted on the minds of human beings-or it is the most remarkable fact of history . Here are some of the facts relevant to the resurrection: Jesus of Nazareth, a Jewish prophet who claimed to be the Christ prophesied in the Jewish Scriptures, was arrested, was judged a political criminal, and was crucified. Three days after His death and burial, some women who went to His tomb found the body gone. In subsequent weeks, His disciples claimed that God had ... This action was a continuation of Jeroboam's policy of separating the ten northern tribes from the one true God at Jerusalem. Can you understand the Bible unaided by the Holy Spirit? Lawyers are notorious for using complicated legal "gobble-dee-goop". We demand, "just tell me in plain English what it says". Remember, according to Paul, Jews and Gentiles alike are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise..... (Ephesians 3:6). The church - and I am thinking now of the local church - is where we learn together, grow together, worship together, rejoice together, sorrow together. To the question, "The church, who needs it?", comes the answer, "We all do". Jesus or the church? To these add a third alternative: Jesus and the church. Matthew 16:18 "Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe's people, that there are quarrels among you. Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Peter," and "I of Christ." Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? In fact, the passage clearly proves Jesus was divine, because twice the Jews wanted to stone Jesus for making himself out as being God. Jesus never denied he was God. Micah 5:2 clearly states that the Messiah has existed from all eternity Meaning: "His activities date back to all eternity, without beginning" Contrasting the Messiah's future incarnation with His "eternal origins/activities", the only logical conclusion is that Jesus was at the very least of supernatural origin, like Jehovah, for only Jehovah has an eternal origins! The Messiah therefore traced his lineage, not from David, but from all past eternity, being like God himself, has always existed and timeless! No Jew would every apply this language to a created angel! Comments: The text is so clear that anti-Trinitarians have only one argument ... His going forth [4161 mowtsa'] is as certain as the dawn." Of course, we know God is not a creature, but then neither is Jesus Christ according to Micah 5:2! 431: What is the 1000 Year Reign of Christ?
Revelation Chapter 20 is central to the millennial controversy, and is perhaps the most disputed text in the Bible. This is the crucial paragraph. "And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand, and he laid hold on the old dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him that he would deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be fulfilled, after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgement was given to them, and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon his foreheads or in their hands. We may be influenced by teachers, and buddies, and the gang and the crowd, but the decision to cheat or not to cheat remains fully in our own hands. Anita Vinson in a little booklet entitled, Putting Christ in Your Classroom, writes: "Jesus is familiar with the little temptations and trials of the classroom. As the Son of God, He set forth principles that will help us. He even died for us so that we might be able to be closer to Him and be able to know that we are not alone when we face that History examination. However, there are two conditions that you must meet if Christ is to be on your side. You must put him first in everything you do, and obey His teachings as found in the New Testament." The word "honesty" or some form of it, occurs eleven times in the King James Version of the New Testament. Paul urges the Romans to "provide things honest in the sight of all men" Romans 12:17. 442: Encyclopedia Americana
Fourth century trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching. This quote from Encyclopedia Americana, 1956 Vol. XXVII, p. 294L., is deceptive because it projects the false impression that early Christian teaching" was not Trinitarian. "For the early Christian belief that Jesus was divine, the Son of God, and that as the risen, glorified Messiah or Lord, He was now at the right hand of God: required the use of theistic language." (Encyclopedia Americana, Trinity, p116) The correct way to quote this source would be to say that some of the details of Trinitarian theology that 4th century Christians taught, was not as refined as the Trinitarian theology taught in the Bible. However both taught trinity, the uncreated deity of Christ and the personality of the Holy Spirit. Why Are There So Many Different Churches? In Matthew Chapter 16:18, our Lord made a very strange statement when He said, "Upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it."
