Introduction: This is a chronological outline of Egyptian Pharaoh's as it relates to the Bible which is organized by date. In the 7th century BC, Judea was caught between Egypt and Assyria. All Manasseh needed to do was turn to God with all his heart and neither nation would have been a threat. In 671 and 667 BC, Manasseh, King of Judah, helped Assyria (Ashurbanipal I) fight Egypt (Taharqa) and Ethiopia (Nubia). It is likely that Manasseh established the outpost at Elephantine in 667 BC in rebellion to Egypt's king Taharqa (Tirhakah) (690 - 664 BC). After the death of Pharaoh Taharqa (Tirhakah) in 664 BC, his son Psamtik I (664-610 BC). Catalogue of Pharaohs: 25th Dynasty: i. 690-664 BC: Taharqa (Tirhakah) 26th Dynasty: ... ...

Etam to his Jerusalem temple. 2. The Gihon Spring is the only water source inside Jerusalem. a. A system of 5 aqueducts that supplied water to Jerusalem and the temple has been discovered. b. A major water supply system started in the hill country that fed three large rectangular reservoirs in Etam known as "Solomon's pools". c. "The three reservoirs, which are somewhat rectangular in shape, are placed consecutively at successive levels. They vary in size, with the highest the smallest and the lowest the largest. The lower pool is 582 feet long, 148 to 207 feet wide, and 50 feet deep. The small pool is also the most shallow, having a depth of only 15 feet. The estimated capacity of all three is about 40,000,000 gallons." (Pools of Solomon, Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible, 1988 AD) 3. Solomon may have originally dug one or all three pools at Etam and the first aqueduct to feed his new temple in Jerusalem. a. 4: Solomon's Jerusalem Temple is not located on top of the Gihon ...
...City of David" for the temple platform." (Steve Rudd, 2005 AD) Introduction: See also: Solomon's pools and the Jerusalem aqueduct. The fanciful idea that the temple was built over the Gihon spring is a view popularized by Ernest Martin. His view, although is interesting and graphic, is simply a mythical view of the city of David that never existed and must be rejected as a Mother Goose story. This view has the temple built over top of the city of David, hundreds of meters outside the southern wall of the temple mount we see today. They forgot their tape measure because it won't fit! Recent excavations at the "Parking Lot" prove the temple was not there. The temple mount is viewed by them as the fortress of Antonia. The fortress of Antonia was built at the dome of the rock, but it did not occupy the entire temple platform we see today. Solomon built the temple on the threshing floor David bought. The reason the temple was not built on top of the Gihon Spring is the same reason people do ... ...
