1: The Kenites and the Kenite Territory
The Kenites are a sect of Midianites. The Kenites were descendents of Jethro the Midianite (Moses father in law) and their traditional territory was near Midian: Judges 1:16 The Midianites and the Ishmaelites intermarried and became one sect that were indistinguishable at the time Joseph was sold into Egyptian slavery in 1893 BC. They lived in the mountains near Midian: Numbers 24:20-21. The Kenites lived in the mountains and with the Amalekites: 1 Samuel 15:6-7 Moses asked Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite to live be his scout from the Sinai area. In exchange, Moses promised land. The Kenites settled in the southern part of Judah: "wilderness of Judah which is in the south of Arad" Judges 1:16. This was close to the Kenites ancestral homeland of Midian "Then Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, "We are setting out to the place of which the Lord said, 'I will give it to you'; come with us and we will do you good, for the Lord has promised good ... ...

6: Midianite Pottery: The designer import of the ancient world.
The designer import of the ancient world. Pottery of the Bible Introduction: Midianite pottery was imported from Qurayyah in modern Saudi Arabia. (see map) The Kenites are a sect of Midianites that Moses invited to join him in the promised land. After settling in the Negev, the Kenites were responsible for importing their own pottery into their new home. "Scholars associate the pottery from Qurayyah with the Midianites, the very people that Moses was said to dwell among when he first fled Egypt—and from whom he chose his wife, Zipporah. Evidence of habitation and culture from that same time period—the presumed time of the Exodus—is practically nonexistent in the Sinai peninsula. Harvard scholar Frank Moore Cross believes that the paucity of evidence in Sinai—and the considerable remains in Qurayyah, Al-Bad' and other Midianite sites—points in favor of an Arabian location for Mt. Sinai." (Mt. Sinai—in Arabia?, Bible Review, Apr 2000, Allen Kerkeslager) Midianite pottery was ... ...

7: The southern border of Judah and Kadesh Barnea at Petra
Most maps wrongly place Kadesh at ein el-Qudeirat and draw border line south of Qudeirat. The problem with this should be obvious to anyone who believes the Bible is both inspired and error free. If you draw the border south of Qudeirat, then Kadesh Barnea is inside the promised land! When you correctly place Kadesh where Eusebius said it was located, at Petra, then it all becomes simple and clear. The Brook of Egypt (Wadi el-Arish) is the border between Israel and Egypt. Numbers 34:3-5 Joshua 15:1-4 Imagine you are in a car driving on the Bible border of Judah. You start driving at Engedi and follow the western shoreline of the Dead Sea. When you reach the end of the Dead Sea, turn left (East) and start driving towards modern Jordan. Those who wrongly place Kadesh at ein el-Qudeirat must head WESTWARD, not Eastward. They go 180 degrees the wrong direction and head in a straight line through the assent of Akrabbim (wrongly located at Ma'ale Aqrabim on the west side of the Arabah ... ...

8: Solomon's Fortress at Elat, Aqaba: Tell el-Kheleifeh and Jezirat ...
Red Sea, in the land of Edom, very near Elat. Both Elat and Ezion Geber are located at the north end of the Gulf of Aqaba. One of the critical factors of Ezion-Geber, is that it was one stop before the 11 day journey from Mt. Sinai to Kadesh Barnea (Deut 1:2), by way of Mt. Seir. Mt. Sinai located at Jebel Al-Lawz in modern Saudi Arabia and Kadesh Barnea located at or near Petra fits perfectly, given they would pass right by Mt. Seir, the seat of transjordan Edomite territory. Ezion-geber, like Kadesh itself, must be on the edge of Edom's land. Archeologically, it can be proven that Edom was almost entirely transjordan until the time of the Babylonian captivity of 586 BC. This places Ezion-geber on the east side of Elat, not the west. If archeologists had merely read the Bible, they would have used it as a guide to look in the right place. "The first one to suggest the identification of Ezion-geber with Tell el-Kheleifeh was Fritz Frank. The small low mound is located approximately in ... ...

9: Negev Pottery: "Negev ware" "Negevite ware" Crude, hand made ...
The disposable dinnerware of the ancient world. Click to View Pottery of the Bible Introduction: Negev ware pottery is hand made pottery from the Negev area of Israel from 1406 BC to 586 BC. Negev Pottery is also found at Qudeirat and Timna and the Egyptian port island of Jezirat Faraun and Elat and Khirbat en-Nahas. Negev pottery was the "disposable dinnerware" of the ancient world. It could be made easily by forming a dish out of clay to the shape of what you needed. In network of military border fortresses in the Negev built by Solomon in 950 BC, it was most likely made by the male soldiers of Solomon while stationed at these various fortresses he built to protect and enforce the border between Israel and Egypt. There were some 50 fortresses in the Negev that Solomon built and there is a similarity in the types of pottery found at them all including Negev pottery. One exception was the fortress at Kuntillet Ajrud, which lacked Negev pottery. "Surprisingly, the site yielded no ... ...

11: The border Between Judah and Egypt: River of Egypt, Wadi el-Arish ...
Wadi el-Arish, also known as the River of Egypt. Gen 15:18 Its called the "River/brook of Egypt" because it was the river that indicated the eastern border of Egyptian Territory. It is not called the "River of Syria" or the "River of Babylon" or the "River of Africa"! River of Egypt means the border river of Egypt. It doesn't get much plainer or simpler than that! 3. The Septuagint substitutes "Rhinocolura" for Brook of Egypt in Isaiah 27:12 a. MT: "In that day the Lord will start His threshing from the flowing stream of the Euphrates to the brook of Egypt, and you will be gathered up one by one, O sons of Israel." (Isaiah 27:12) b. LXX: "And this will happen on that day: God will fence in the people from the channel of the river as far as the Rhinocolura. But as for you, gather the children of Israel one by one." (Isaiah 27:12) 4. The River of Egypt IS NOT the Nile River or the Pelusiac arm of the Nile. a. If the Gen 15:18 says the Nile was boundary of land God promised Abraham Isaac ... ...
