1: The Clinical Textbook of Biblical Psychiatry: home page
Since insanity, schizophrenia, bipolar and depression have no biological cause, this essentially banishes Biopsychiatry to the Junk Science Hall of Fame beside Humoral Medicine. Psychotic behaviour is never caused by demon possession, but is a simple behaviour choice. This obsoletes psychiatric drugs and shocks as cures. It extincts all psychiatrists who claim to be experts in something they do not think exists ("psychiatrist" lit. Greek: "doctor of the soul"). What is left standing is the Bible and Christians who had it right all along as the historic experts on human behaviour. We strongly advise anyone with any "mental illness" from depression to schizophrenia to book an appointment with their medical doctor for an exhaustive physical examination, including blood tests, brain scans, etc. to convince themselves that there is nothing physically wrong with them. Remember, there are no medical tests for any mental illness or any other human behaviour. Welcome to the truth. Read with an ... ...

How does Torture and Coercion cure inanity? Click to View Insanity is a behaviour choice. Torture changes the will. Click to View Click to View See also: History of Psychiatry homepage Introduction: Psychiatrists have always used coercion or torture to cure insanity. Coercion is still widely used in both Canada and the USA. The use of torture came to an end about 1940. We are totally opposed to using any coercion or torture in the "treatment" of insanity. However, it is clear from the record of history, that torture did cure mental illness. The question is: "How does torture cure insanity?" The answer is simple: Insanity is a behaviour choice not a disease. The whole idea of "curing" insanity is ridiculous at its core. It is like saying that you are going to "cure" someone of chronic lying or adultery. Insanity is a behaviour just like lying and adultery. You don't cure people of behaviours with drugs, you persuade them by appealing to their conscience. For a chemical psychiatrist, ... ...

Why did torture cure the insanity? Click to View see also: Humoral medicine Click to View Introduction: Insanity has always been characterized by the sins of anger, selfishness, rebellion, laziness, violence, assaults, lack of obedience and all the other things young children get spanked for by their mothers. When mother fails, its on to the judge and jailer. When all else fails, its off to the asylum, where they will finish what your mother started. Basically society provides three methods of teaching you to behave through spankings and time out: 1. your mother 2. the police 3. the asylum. 4. the church. Although this is a historic review of the past, nothing has really changed much even today in psychiatry. The modern methods are simply sanitized versions of what you will see practiced historically. These treatments were all methods of controlling, confining, punishing and forcing compliance with rules and general obedience. "We come next to mention the remedies that are proper to ... ...

Click to View Click to View Before 1600 AD, church ministers, not medical doctors, were almost universally considered the experts in correcting the behaviours associated with insanity. The insane were not distinguished from other poor, lazy beggars or violent out of control criminals. Insanity was viewed as a collection of odd or sinful behaviours not a disease. Insanity was believed to be caused by sinful living contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ and unless the "insane" committed a crime, they were never jailed but instead roamed free throughout the cities and countryside unhindered in spite of their peculiar behaviours. 9: Sin was viewed as the cause (etiology) of mental illness
Christian Reil suggested that the Cat Piano was the cure for insanity. It worked by seating the insane in front of the Cat Piano, as someone played, sanity would be restored. Reil suggested this clever and imaginative hyperbole, in order to drive home his point, that insanity was a spiritual problem not a bodily problem. Doctors before the 19th century, knew less than a typical thirteen year old today, who dissected a few raccoons on his back yard picnic table and experimented with his chemistry set he got for Christmas! 10: Psychopaths and sociopaths are not insane
The psychopath and the sociopath are not crazy or insane! Click to View Hannibal Lecter in "Silence of the lambs" Introduction: There is no difference between a psychopath and sociopath. They are different terms invented by different psychiatrists to explain the same basic type of person. We prefer the term psychopath. The typical definition of the psychopath is to fail to feel remorse or guilt for horrible crimes and actions. They are said to have no conscience, but this is not true. Their conscience is working just fine. The just live by their own set of what is right and wrong. Because they live by their own set of rules, they routinely disregard those rules determined by others. They are also narcissistic and completely self-serving. Psychopaths share these qualities: Believe in atheism/evolution. Usually above average intelligence, but not always. Anyone who has the ability to comprehend the philosophical implications of atheism/evolution is capable of becoming psychopaths. High ... ...
