We are utterly shocked that any Christian would kiss the Koran. Infallibility of the church? "The entire Roman Catholic argument depends upon the assumption that Rome could not do what Israel did. The problem is that in reality she has done exactly what Israel did. She has placed herself in precisely the same position that the Scribes and Pharisees found themselves in. Their oral law or tradition was so "synthesized" to the written Torah, that judgment of the validity of that unwritten law by means of the written law became an impossibility. Neither could judge the other because both were assumed to have originated with Moses. In the same way Rome has developed an unwritten tradition that she has synthesized with the written New Testament to the degree that it cannot be judged by that New Testament. 6: Reasons why the Apocrypha does NOT belong in the Bible!
Council of Trent (1546 AD). This was in part because the Apocrypha contained material which supported certain Catholic doctrines, such as purgatory, praying for the dead, and the treasury of merit. Not one of them is in the Hebrew language, which was alone used by the inspired historians and poets of the Old Testament. Not one of the writers lays any claim to inspiration. These books were never acknowledged as sacred Scriptures by the Jewish Church, and therefore were never sanctioned by our Lord. They were not allowed a place among the sacred books, during the first four centuries of the Christian Church. They contain fabulous statements, and statements which contradict not only the canonical Scriptures, but themselves; as when, in the two Books of Maccabees, Antiochus Epiphanes is made to die three different deaths in as many different places. The Apocrypha inculcates doctrines at variance with the Bible, such as prayers for the dead and sinless perfection. And the day following ... ...

Doctrines that contradict Bible. Click to View Mary had many other children in addition to Jesus Click to View Click to View Transubstantiation (real presence) is a false doctrine. Transubstantiation is a false doctrine because Jesus is not a liar: In Mt 26:29 after Jesus had said, "this is my blood" and prayed, he still referred to the contents as, "fruit of the vine". If transubstantiation of the juice into blood had occurred, as both Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches say it was at this time, then Jesus would never have referred to it as "fruit of the vine' but rather "blood". This proves that when Jesus said "take eat & drink" he LITERALLY gave them bread and juice. In like manner, Paul also refers to the elements of the Lord's Supper as "eat this bread and drink the cup" in 1 Cor 11:26 after they should be transubstantiated. Tertullian, in 200 AD also knew nothing of the false doctrine but considered the bread and juice as symbols: "Taking bread and distributing it to his ... ...

10: Extra-Biblical oral apostolic tradition does not exist today
Bible authority is not absolutely necessary. The Church teaches, believes it, and practices it, therefore it is true. While a Roman Catholic, I could not understand why non Catholics were always bringing up the Bible and trying to disprove my beliefs by it. Certainly the Bible was important, but to my mind it did not present all the truth necessary. To grasp all of the truth, one had to accept both the Bible and Roman Catholic Tradition. I believed that the leaders of the church knew what was best, that they had always known what was best, and that when something new was defined and added to the tradition that it was the truth, plainly and simply. Further study has shown me that tradition is not so clear cut and obvious, actually it is rather obscure and the process whereby something becomes defined as a belief and practice of Roman Catholic tradition absolutely defines logic and sound reasoning. What Is Tradition? Trying to define "tradition" as it applies to the Roman Catholic Church ... ...

The Pope and the Catholic Church are quite fallible. Catholics say Yes! Truth says No! Is The Catholic Church Infallible? None will deny the importance and need of infallibility in religion. To assure man of his salvation, he wants and needs an unerring guide or an infallible authority. Such a guide cannot be produced by man because he is sinful, changeable and perishable. It cannot reside in a religious organization because it is subject to the same limitations that handicap man. Certainly, a guide of absolute truth can be produced only by God Almighty. God through His infinite goodness and mercy provided His written Word as our authority and guide. Jesus said, "Thy (God's) word is truth." (John 17:17). The Holy Spirit guided the apostles into "all truth" (John 16:13) and they alone with the inspired New Testament prophets wrote God's truth for us (Eph. 3:2-5). Catachism changed after 1870 AD: "A Doctrinal Catechism," by Keenan, bearing the Imprimatur (official sanction) of Scotch Roman Catholic bishops, pre 1870: Must not Catholics believe the pope himself to be infallible? This is a Protestant invention; it is no article of the Catholic faith; no decision of his can oblige, under pain of ... ...
