272: Scientific evidences of the Bible's inspiration
The Bible writers were not like news reporters giving their personal interpretation of events they eye-witnessed, but were divinely guided as 2 Peter 1:20-21 says, Above all, you must understand that no prophesy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. God and man worked together in writing the scriptures. However, in this work, God is the author who dictated the message, and man is the writing instrument. Men were guided or inspired to write the exact message God wanted recorded in the Bible. Now that we have a fundamental understanding of inspiration and the origin of the Bible, let us look at some evidence of inspiration. It takes the Bible as its all-sufficient source of faith and practice, and subscribes to the historic creeds of the universal church. In common with historical, evangelical Christianity, it emphasizes Christ as Saviour and coming King. It also presents Christ as Healer and it adopts the distinctive position that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence when Christ baptizes in the Holy Sprit (See Section VI. 3). HOLY SCRIPTURES All scripture is given by inspiration of God 2 Tim. 3:16,17 by which we understand the whole Bible to be inspired in the sense that holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. 2 Pet. 1:20,21 Divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of the original writings. 278: The true Bible story of Noah's Ark
A. The Bible is a direct revelation from God through man: "Inspired" 1. When 2 Tim 3:16 says, "All scripture is inspired by God" the word inspired means literally in the Greek: "God Breathed". The 66 books of the Bible were written by God, revealed by the Holy Spirit through the hands of men. 2. The Bible is the only book on earth that is inspired by God. There are two classes of books on earth: 1. Books that contain the word of man and 2. Books that contain the word of God. The 66 books of the Bible therefore are in a distinct and unique category from any other book on earth. "For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe. " (1 Thessalonians 2:13) 3. To understand the process of inspiration, think of man as being a pen in the hand of God in a kind of dictation process like a court recorder. A ... ...

279: Can you understand the Bible unaided by the Holy Spirit?
We demand, "just tell me in plain English what it says". We have been told that only religious leaders, can understand the Bible. Lawyers and priests, share a similar trade. But this is not the way God intended things to be. Surely if a man can write a newspaper article in such a way so as to be understood, then almighty God is able to write the Bible so that it can be understood. Notice three important things in what apostle Paul said of the many books of the Bible God wrote through him, "by revelation (from God) there was made known to me the mystery (now revealed) , as I wrote before in brief. And by referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit" Eph 3:3-5. 287: God's inspired message to man!
The Bible writers were not like news reporters giving their personal interpretation of events they eye-witnessed, but were divinely guided as 2 Peter 1:20-21 says, "Above all, you must understand that no prophesy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." God and man worked together in writing the scriptures. However, in this work, God is the author who dictated the message, and man is the writing instrument. Men were guided or inspired to write the exact message God wanted recorded in the Bible. Now that we have a fundamental understanding of inspiration and the origin of the Bible, let us look at some evidence of inspiration.
