Rules for Posting

I listened to a sermon from our brother Warren Berkley

He said, when posting stuff online we can't do so berserkly.

There are rules that ought to govern the things that people say,

To the people that we meet and converse with every day.

We find the words there written, in words by Paul of Tarsus.

And when we let them guide us, they provide a great catharsis.

He says we must be truthful, in everything we say,

And avoid the least obscenity every single day.

He said we should be placable, and never hold a grudge

Because it won't be very long, till we’re before the Judge.

Our lives should echo that of Jesus while he was on Earth

Regardless of the hand we’re dealt, whether grief or mirth.

We would all do well to review from time to time,

Just what God expects of us in our upward climb.

Read Paul's letter to Colossae to help you keep in mind

That in our postings and in our lives, we should e’er be kind.

Col. 3: 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
