The Expository Files

Where We Show Up!

Beginning our 18th year of publishing Expository Files, I decided to take a little time the other day to see where we are going and how we are being used. Where is EF showing up?

I’m pleased that we have such a large worldwide audience, and I am thankful to Steve Rudd’s work for the scope of our reach and the great number of hits we have monthly.

Jon and I are simply not able to know and quantify exactly how much good we do. Our perspective is, the more who read EF, the greater the possibility that someone will be brought closer to God through the study of the text of Scripture.

We are quoted by a wide variety of religious groups, and not always in a context we would endorse. Those who publish on the Internet need to well understand – your words will not always be used according to your intention and context. That has happened to us many times (it happens a lot to inspired writers!). Nevertheless we rejoice that the publication has a worldwide audience, and we continue to pray that it will fall into the hands of people who are ready to know more of God and His Word, and ready to submit to the One who “is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to Him,” (1 Pet. 3:22, ESV).

Here are some of the places EF shows up:

Should you be aware of some spiritually valuable results of EF, please email the editors with those accounts and we may relate them to our readers. We hope we show up in the computers or browsers of people who want to take God’s truth into their hearts and lives. We positively affirm, you can do that without Expository Files; all you need is a Bible. We want to help direct readers to that source and challenge readers to think about what it says – then act on it. Thanks for your continued interests!
